My pricing structure is flexible based on project specifications—I mainly calculate a "standard" fee based on the number of instruments to be used + track length:
1 to 2 instruments are charged around $60~80 per minute;
3 to 8 instruments (equivalent to a band or small orchestra) are charged around $100 per minute;
9+ instruments are charged around $150 per minute.
The addition of synthesized vocals (already mixed and mastered within the music) is around $30 per minute—it can increase in about 50% if constant backing voices are needed or if it requires a more complex tuning.
I can also place the commissioned music on streaming services if the client is interested. My main distributor's fee is $20 per song.
For projects with more than one song, especially indie, I can also provide a 10% discount on the total value of the tracks, and very simple or repetitive tracks may also decrease in price a bit.
